Wendy Clarke (The Plains, Virginia) was introduced to English Country Dancing in 2016 at the Jane Austen Summer Program (JASP) at Chapel Hill. She came for costumes and stayed for the joy of dancing itself. Soon after JASP Wendy, then a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, met Luanne Stiles at a local dance and wasintroduced to other local and regional dances, dance weekends, and Pinewoods. She has travelled to England and throughout the the US East Coast, Southeast, Ohio, and Tennessee, to pursue her passion. She has had the opportunity to work on her calling skills in Asheville, North Carolina, Rock Hill, South Carolina, and through workshops at Pinewoods. Her local dances now are Glen Echo and Sterling in Virginia. She looks forward to the growth of her skills and a wider breadth of experience.
